Natural Homemade Ginger Ale

The "Ginger Ale" is a very traditional drink in the United States and is quite refreshing. 
 
 For some Ginger Ale is sweetened with regular sugar, but the best option will always be natural sweeteners such as ordo syrup (maple syrup), honey or brown sugar. We like to use stevia.
 
Ginger helps regulate the bowel and digestive system, strengthening the immune system.This drink is extremely refreshing, ideal to be taken in small quantities following a meal or as an isotonic after physical activities.
 
For summer, serve well chilled, neat or diluted, with or without ice cubes and eventually using fresh mint leaves for garnish.
 
We created this recipe for Ginger Ale, we tested and approved it. It is based on two others that we have made and tasted:

 
Natural Ginger Ale:


Ingredients


- 2 cup very fresh ginger with skin  and grated or cut into very small piece

- 1 gallon of water
- Sugar, honey or natural sweetener as stevia
- "club soda" or sparkling water
 
Instructions

 

- Put water and ginger in a pan and bring to boil.
- After to boil, reduce heat to medium and leave for 30 minutes boiling.
- Let it cool down, drain and refrigerate.
- To serve, mix in a glass 1/2 of the ginger ale and 1/2 of Club Soda or sparkling water.
- Add honey or other sweetener and ice to serve. You can decorate with mint leave.
