Home- Loving

Here is a lovely virtue that women are designed for. It isn’t in found in a list of virtues like some of the others we have discussed, but women are charged to be domestic, to be capable homemakers.
Domestic means simply, home-loving; enjoying household affairs; a devotion to home and family life.

Do not discard the egg shell

Today's tip is: the next time you prepare a recipe that takes eggs, do not throw away the shell, wash and go straight storing. Then enjoy and make a small herb garden  with cilantro, mint, parsley, chives ... Behold the cutest thing:

This is a really cool idea, especially for those who live in apartments and do not have much space because this small garden can stay in a corner of the kitchen, over the sink, in the window or on the balcony.

The quinoa was qualified as the best food of vegetable origin for human consumption by the Academy of Sciences of the United States for its extraordinary nutritional value - comparing only to milk in protein value.  Unlike wheat, quinoa contains no gluten is a great alternative to the diet in the diet of celiacs (people with gluten intolerance or allergy).  The quinoa can be found in the form of grains, flour or flakes. We must do everything with love!

Even a simple fried egg!

Foto de Rogério Voltan

Have you thought about preparing a beautiful tray of breakfast for your husband with this surprise?
To fry the egg in this way need a skillet or heart-shaped molds suitable as the photo below. Or you can just fry in a pepper skin as the other picture.

molde para ovos.
To make a perfect fried egg:

Grease the pan with oil or butter and put the egg in the shaped you desire. Cover and cook over moderate heat until the desired point. Season (salt and pepper, if desired) and serve.

To meditate:

The Word of God teaches us that we must do all things without murmuring (Phil. 2:14), whether at work, at church and especially for our husband, kids or anybody else! Everything we do with love, affection, dedication and zeal becomes pleasurable and praise the Lord, but when there is grumbling or it is for things to do or obligation ... just no hassle. Think about it!

"It is difficult to find a good wife! She is worth more than precious gems! Her husband trusts her. In all the days of her life she will do him good and not evil".
(Proverbs 31: 10, 11:12 - Living Translation Today)

Napking Folding

A well placed table gives pleasure to those who will have lunch or dinner. So it is worth spending a little time to have the pleasure of sitting at a nice and tidy  table with your family or friends. It seems like a difficult thing to be done, but it is not, nor is "freshness" is a matter of whim.

See how the different ways to fold, turn the napkin give props to innovate and touches of whimsy and refinement:

Plates on the wall

I have a very good idea for that beautiful plates you have in home but you do not want use because is just one of each. You can decorate one of your wall hanging them with a special support you can buy in Lowe's or other home supply store.

Look how my kitchen wall became very decorative with some colorful plates on it:

Napkin Holders

The napkin holders is a detail that adds a lot of decoration on the table. There are those who are more sophisticated, as you can see in the image below:
Porta guardanapos
But it is clear that we can and must use our creativity to decorate the table. Thread, tape, string, a sprig of fresh herb, cinnamon stick, banana leaf ... simple things we have at home, but which give a nice effect.

How to keep your house in order

One of the characteristics of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31, is that, even with so many chores she still "meets the smooth running of your home."

Keep an organized home is not easy, but the best way to get this done is to acquire the habit of completing basic daily tasks. With just a few minutes, we will be able to leave the house under control and save time. And if we have tips on how to do these tasks so ...

Benefits of Eggplant

Did you know that eggplant belongs to the family of chili? Me neither, I learned this researching to write this "post"! I also learned that scientific studies show that it can reduce by 30% the rate of cholesterol. Because this fruit is rich in proteins, vitamins (B1, B2, B5, C), minerals (calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, magnesium) and alkaloids, which act by decreasing blood pressure, preventing atherosclerosis, naturalists recommend their consumption to prevent certain ailments related to blood flow.

The best eggplants are firm structure and barks very bright. The opaque and soft are already old and lost some nutritional properties.

The term pro-biotic is derived from Greek and means "pro-life" is the antonym of antibiotic, which means "against life". Pro-biotic was initially defined as living organisms that exert beneficial effect when taken in the balance of intestinal bacterial flora of the person who consumed them. After a time the term was expanded to: living organisms that when ingested in number (concentrated) exert beneficial effects on health for his action in the intestinal tract. A more current definition of pro-biotic is: food supplement, rich in live microorganisms that beneficially affects your consumer by improving the intestinal microbial balance. Therefore, pro-biotic foods are those rich in bacteria that produce beneficial effects on intestinal flora, usually indicated to prevent and treat diseases as indicated below. Several microorganisms are known as pro-biotic, including lactic acid bacteria, lactic acid bacteria and yeasts not. The most known bacteria that function in the body are Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.

We need godly women, not Miss America women.

Miss America1

“Godly womanhood … the very phrase sounds strange in our ears. We never hear it now. We hear about every other type of women: beautiful women, smart women, sophisticated women, career women, talented women, divorced women. But so seldom do we hear of a godly woman – or of a godly man either, for that matter. We believe women come nearer to fulfilling their God-given function in the home than anywhere else. It is a much nobler thing to be a good wife, than to be Miss America. It is a greater achievement to establish a Christian home than it is to produce a second-rate novel filled with filth. It is a far, far better thing in the realms of morals to be old-fashioned, than to be ultra-modern. The world has enough women who know how to be smart. It needs women who are willing to be simple. The world has enough women who know how to be brilliant. It needs some who will be brave. The world has enough women who are popular. It needs more who are pure. We need women, and men, too, who would rather be morally right than socially correct.”

Parsley, to toning the body and flavor food

The parsley is original basin Mediterranean. Its use dates back over two thousand years. The ancient Greeks said when someone was going to die, "this person needing to use salsa." It was brought to the New World in the century XVII, where it became very popular to use in cooking.

Home: The Woman´s Place

 By Charity Darlene Gardner

The place of the woman is a hotly debated issue. It is also an important issue, because everybody on earth is affected by the women and the part these women play in their lives. Henri F. Amiel said, "...Woman is the salvation or destruction of the family. She carries its destinies in the folds of her mantle."1 The woman not only holds the fate of the family in her hand, but history also rests in her arms. The babies born to mothers all over the world today will one day make history.2 So, we see the need for each of us to decide whether the place of the woman is at home, or if it is of no importance if she decides to leave the home. I think it will be well worth our while to remember, while we look at this concern, that "Where the heart is willing it will find a thousand ways, but where it is unwilling it will find a thousand excuses."3 [...]

The power of ginger: natural anti-inflammatory

By Ruth Ferraz Byrnes

The Lord has blessed mankind with many gifts in the nature, one is the ginger.  Nowadays people often feel stressed, their body are stiff and sore. Normally people look at synthetic medicines for chronic pain relief, often unbearable. Taking painkillers frequently, especially without medical supervision can be dangerous due to side effects, which in some cases can even be fatal. Drugs such as Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) have been linked to kidney damage, anemia, heart palpitations and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Natural Homemade Ginger Ale

The "Ginger Ale" is a very traditional drink in the United States and is quite refreshing.

For some Ginger Ale is sweetened with regular sugar, but the best option will always be natural sweeteners such as ordo syrup (maple syrup), honey or brown sugar. We like to use stevia.

Ginger helps regulate the bowel and digestive system, strengthening the immune system. This drink is extremely refreshing, ideal to be taken in small quantities following a meal or as an isotonic after physical activities.

For summer, serve well chilled, neat or diluted, with or without ice cubes and eventually using fresh mint leaves for garnish.

We created this recipe for Ginger Ale, we tested and approved it. It is based on two others that we have made and tasted:

"Abortions in Silence": As some family planning methods provoke micro-abortions

Book summary of Julio Severo: Abortions in Silence, by permission of the author, by Ruth Ferraz

As some family planning drugs can provoke micro-abortions:
We sin against God by ignorance, not knowing the facts involved with sin that we might be committing unknowingly. "An example of the latter type of situation would be a Christian using an intrauterine device and chemicals, knowing that without it, they endanger the life of a baby very early in pregnancy."  (Severo, p. 3)

 When does human life begin?

In the U.S., abortion is legal in the 9 months of pregnancy and can be done until a few hours before delivery! A million babies are aborted each year in the U.S.  [...]

Stevia, natural sweetener

By Ruth Ferraz Byrnes

When I was a teenager I learned that refined sugar is bad for health. Since then I have used and searched for more natural alternatives: brown sugar and honey, but I discovered that the brown is often masked with melasso. Artificial sweeteners although containing a lot of chemicals, they are much more dangerous to health than white sugar. [...]
