The Daily Devotional

The Daily Devotional is an intimate time we devote to be alone or with family with God, to hear His voice and know His will. It is paramount to grow in faith and build up our home and our being on the  Christ Rock.

There are several ways to make a Daily Devotional I wrote here as my husband and I have done, but each one may have their own inspiration and how best to realize it.

Nowadays we are using the devotional booklet: Our Daily Bread, which is helping us also to read the Bible In One Year.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN A DEVOTIONAL

READING THE WORD: When we started  to practice the Daily Devotional we chose randomly, a chapter of Scripture, but now we will read chapters followed. For example start with Matthew chapter one the first day and the second will read the second day and so on, until we complete the reading of all the Gospels and after the Old Testament and the whole Bible. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God."

The Word opens your eyes, makes the weak be strong again, renewed, instructs, brings out flaws and make necessary cuts, driving in all decisions to be made. You can read the morning just a verse and then the night reading the entire chapter.  The best is to do the all Devotional at the morning to start the day with strength. Only the Word of God has the power to completely renew our minds and our lives. If you have never read the entire Bible, put this as a goal for your life.

MEDITATION OF THE WORD: It is an attitude which reaps an outcome, ie, from which we extract a truth for our lives. It is a voluntary act. We must pay attention of exposing the Word of God, receiving its benefits.
Rationally seek to understand what has been read.

After reading, we need to meditate and reflect on what we read and then to do the prayers of Intercession for the people, for the family,  for the friends, the missions, through Jerusalem, everything what we feel inspired at the time, by the purposes and ongoing throughout vision the Lord has given us.
It's good to have a list with the names and Intercessions Facts for which we wish to pray.

We finished with a FINAL PRAYER, THANKS AND WORSHIP, thanking the Lord for all the blessings that we have and will receive from our Lord Provider.
This is the time when we can thank you God through our praise and worship, by entering into communion with Him and enjoying His Presence.WHAT IS REQUIRED:

· A notebook and pen for recording daily (put the date), it will be noted that the chapter has been read, the revelations, the promises, everything we feel is necessary.· Bible· Privacy;· A list of prayer
